Though it’s not nearly the size of the Chicago Golf Show, the Milwaukee Golf Show is a fun stop for us each March. The show is not as heavy with equipment and gadgets, but one of our favorite games year after year is the Lucky 7 Golf Game. Lucky 7 is a family owned business based in Beloit, WI and if you’ve not had a chance to play the game, give it a shot, it’s a lot of fun. I talked to Kevin Riley, the Vice President of Lucky 7 Golf at the show and asked him to describe the game. This is our conversation:
They also have a game called High Roller, which is pretty cool as well. Very simple and appears to be an entertaining game to play on the course. The game has three dice: A positive die, that can reward you for good shots/scores, a negative die that penalizes you for bad shots/scores and a regular die that is used to determine the point value for each hole. So, here’s how you play, before teeing off on each hole you role the dice and at the end of the hole points are awarded based on the players performance. For example, If the roll was “par”, “3-Putt” and “4,” each player who made par or better would receive 4 points and each player who three putts the hole would lose 4 points. The player who scores the most points on the hole becomes the “high roller,” and rolls for the next hole. At the end of the round, the points are totaled and settled accordingly. Simple, easy and fun. If you want more info, check out their site at www.lucky7golf.com.
Keep thinking spring folks! It’ll be here before you know it!
