Big honors for the folks at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota! Grand View Lodge has been selected as one of the top 125 Golf Resorts by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2011 Reader’s Poll. Ranked number six among the top 10 Northern U.S. Golf Resorts, readers voted based on criteria that included overall lodging, dining, service, and of course, golf amenities. The resort is the only one in Minnesota to make the prestigious list, which serves as a guide to the top golf destinations across the country.

“Most people in the Midwest know what a great destination Grand View is for golf and the number of terrific courses we have here in Minnesota, but to be singled out like this in Condé Nast Traveler is really special,” said Tim Bauman, Director of Sales.

Grand View Lodge is a family, golf and spa resort located on Gull Lake in the Brainerd lakes area. Since 1919, Grand View Lodge has provided guests vacation experiences with a wide variety of restaurants, seasonal activities and lodging options. The facility boasts three distinct championship courses, The Pines, The Preserve and Deacon’s Lodge, all of which have been rated in the Top 100 in the United States and offer different experiences for everyone from the casual to the avid golfer.

In addition to being listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Grand View Lodge has also been named one of the best golf resorts in the U.S. by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golfweek. Grand View Lodge is owned and operated by the Cote family.

Others making this year’s list include resorts like The Links at Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach, The Phoenician in Scottsdale, The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, and Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina.

It’s never too early to start planning your trip to Grand View Lodge for a weekend of great golf, as well as rest and relaxation!
