What’s more American than golfing on the Fourth of July? Area courses and resorts are offering some great deals and events to help you hit the links and celebration our nation’s birthday.

Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury has a great deal for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Golf for just $40 (walking) or $55 with cart. There’s also a sale at the Pro Shop offering 20% off hard goods, 20% off FJ Shoes and 30% off clothing.

The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake is celebrating friends of its Players Club and VIP Club Cardholders. Saturday July 2 through Thursday July 7, any guest or guests playing with cardholders get 18 holes with cart and rang for just $55 plus tax. Book your tee times here. Monday the 4th there’s also an All-American BBQ Buffet for $14.95/adult and $8.95 for children 10 and under. The buffet is from 5-9 p.m. Reservations are recommended – just call (952) 445-3500, ext. 6.

Madden’s on Gull Lake is hosting a classic Fourth of July celebration with an amazing barbeque with grilled fish, steak, pork, chicken and all the sides you could want. There will also be live music, a kids’ parade and their own fireworks display.

Grand View Lodge on Gull Lake is holding its 25th annual closest to the lawn chair, closest to the cooler Family Scramble on its Garden Golf Course, Sunday July 3. The event is free for guests and is followed by a free cookout lunch for participants. They’ll also be bringing back the classic drive-in with an outdoor projector on the Garden Course. There will be golf carts and blankets to use to watch “Gnomeo & Juliet.”  The movie is at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 1.

Legends Club is celebrating its 10th anniversary right now with deals through July 10. On July 4th golf for $67 all day. Monday-Thursday is $67 with cart and Friday/Saturday/Sunday AM is $77 with cart. You can book a tee time online here. There are also deals on clothing at the Pro Shop.

And if you’re in the Twin Cities golfing – don’t forget about the great Summer Fete in Bloomington! It’s Sunday, July 3, at Normandale Lake Park. This year’s celebration includes a carnival, two entertainment stages (Kid’s stage and Main Stage) at the Normandale Lake Bandshell, and an incredible fireworks display at dusk!  There’s also great food to enjoy  while you’re there.
