Golf Digest Names Giants Ridge Most Affordable Golf Courses for 2010

The Legend and The Quarry appeared in the 5th spot on “Matty G’s, Top 10 Most Affordable Courses In The Country” list. Only 10 resorts in the nation made the list, and The Quarry and The Legend are the most affordable ranked golf courses in Minnesota.

Senior Travel Editor for Golf Digest, Matt Ginella, wrote, “I prefer The Legend (opened in 1997, ranked No. 72 on our list of America’s 100 Greatest Public), over the Quarry (opened in 2003, ranked No. 20), but splitting rocks because they’re both good and they’re both a bargain.”

“This rating highlights the value and affordability of golf that The Quaarry and The Legend offer,” said John Kendall, Director of Golf at Giants Ridge. Golf Digest ratings carry a lot of weight with the golf public, and the magazine is undoubtedly the most well-read and respected golf publication.”

Shortly after the “Top Value” award was released, Giants Ridge also appeared on’s “Best Golf” list, ranked as #2 in the Midwest. Senior Editory Joe Passov chose Giants Ridge for its quality of golf in his “Premier Resorts 2010: Best in Your Area,” an annual list that ranks golf courrses in each region of North America.
