Whether you’re squeezing in a round before watching fireworks, or hitting the course during your 4th of July vacation, golfing on Independence Day is as American as, well, an eagle – not to mention a birdie or par. For many of us, golf really is a 4th of July tradition, and with the holiday falling on a Saturday this year, our members are making it easier than ever to get out on the course. You can always check our Special Offers page for a complete listing of specials, however, here are some of the best golf deals and golf highlights in Minnesota this Fourth of July.
Grand View Lodge
You can start the weekend early by visiting Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, which is celebrating the re-opening of the newly renovated Preserve golf course. They are also holding a pre-holiday party with fireworks at its other championship course, The Pines.
The Party at the Pines starts at 6:00pm on Thursday, July 2nd, and features music from Danny Olson and The District Band. Attractions include an Air Maxx “Launch Pad,” Moon Walk, Beach Ball Volleyball, Face Painting, Burgers, Hot Dogs and Pulled Pork, and a Beer Tent. Admission is $5 for adults, free for kids 11 and under, and the fireworks start at 10:45pm.
You can take advantage of Grand View’s 9-n-Dine special over the holiday weekend – or all the way until September 25th. The deal includes nine holes of golf at The Pines or The Preserve and a drink and entrée from Freddy’s Grille or the Preserve Pub for only $40 per person after 3pm. Click here for details.
