Over the last several weeks I’ve been traveling around the state meeting with folks from our various member facilities and also shooting video of the golf courses, some of which you may have already started to see here on this blog and other places. We have had an unusual year for weather in Minnesota with plenty of rain, heat and high humidity. Still, our golf courses are in terrific condition.

Compete on a Great MN Course
The 2011 Club Championship is coming up at The Wilds in Prior Lake. Play begins Saturday, August 13th – round 1 tee times are from 7-9am. You have to be a 2011 annual golf package cardholder, participant of The Wilds Leagues or have active handicaps established by The Wilds Golf Club to participate in the Club Championship.
If you ask any golfer who has played Stonebrooke Golf Course in Shakopee what the most memorable hole on the course is, hands down, they will tell you the par 4 8th hole. Heck, they may not even remember it’s a par 4, but they’re sure to remember their tee shot over Lake O’Dowd and the ferry ride across the lake to play their second shot.
Not only is the 8th hole the most memorable hole at Stonebrooke, it may be one of the top 5 most memorable holes in the state.
