Braemar Golf Course
Braemar Golf Course, one of the premiere courses in Minnesota, has commenced a major renovation of their championship golf course by famed course designer Richard Mandell Golf Architect.
Mr. Mandall, in conjunction with City of Edina officials will be updating and renovating the Braemar Golf Course from its original 27-hole layout resulting a transformed magnificent 18-hole truly championship 6941 yard layout.
Braemar Golf Course contains everything a visitor could possibly want in a golf course and multi-purpose upscale clubhouse. Located in Braemar Park, among 500 acres of rolling hills and scenic lakes surrounded by beautiful, untouched oak ridges, the club will reopen in 2018. Beyond the new course the design frees up almost ten acres for more than a mile of walking trails, five miles of ski trails, bocce ball, and recreational opportunities on open space. In addition to creating wide fairways with a minimal number of hazards the course will feature 5 sets of tee boxes on each hole stretching play options from 4557 yards to 6941 yards thus accommodating all talent levels.
Over the years Braemar has been rated among the top 75 public golf courses in the nation, including #1 Public Course by Golf Digest (1984). The area’s natural environment offers a feeling of seclusion amidst its suburban setting. The course is located in southwest Edina 10 minutes from MSP International Airport and Mall of America as well as 10 minutes from either Minneapolis or St. Paul.
